The new season of Big Little Lies has featured two Roland Mouret looks worn by Laura Dern’s character Renata Klein. The season premier shows Renata posing for a magazine cover shoot wearing the Zodiac lamé gown made exclusively for Net-A-Porter as part of the SS17 collection. Costume designer Alix Friedberg explained to Vogue Magazine: “This was originally supposed to be a more traditional cover shoot for a typical power broker. We planned on a business suit for her, the cover-of-Forbes type of thing. Then, our director Andrea Arnold and Laura decided to turn it into something more. It was still a cover shoot for a business magazine, but they wanted something that spoke more to the idea of a woman in power, something that said that you can be sexy and powerful at the same time.”

In her second power-dressing ensemble in Big Little Lies season two, Renata wears a tweed matching jacket and skirt.

Attending Comic Con in San Diego, Jessica Chastain wears the Carabelle jumpsuit from our SS19 collection.
